All Rates are Negotiable! Ask Us! This is just a guide:

 

Standard Rates for Most Projects:

  • $25 per hour

  • $180 for 8 hour blocks (a full day)

  • $60 per song mastering

Special Rate for Small Projects (EPs, Demos, etc.) - $125 Per Song (3 Song Minimum)

Typically studios charge by the hour, or they charge a daily or weekly block rate. Artists who record under these conditions are often so busy watching the clock that they don't usually do their best work, or they run out of money before the project is finished. They end up with a rushed or half completed work. We believe that artists should be concentrating on their work and not the clock. This $125 per song (3 song minimum) package includes:

  • As much recording/mixdown time needed (within reason*)
     
  • One free CD-R master as .CDA, .WAV, or .MP3 (extra CD-R masters are $5 each)
     
  • Master DVD Backups may be purchased for $25 per project.

Fine Print:

We require a $125 deposit before we schedule a session with this rate. This deposit is refundable if the session is cancelled at least two weeks in advance. Payments begin immediately.

*If the artist(s) are not well prepared for their session and abuse their stay at this rate they will be charged an additional $20 per hour if one song exceeds five hours  for recording. Even still... not a bad deal.

In addition to recording we can also give our customers discounted rates on CD packaging and printing. We have a partnership with Oasis Disc Manufacturing and Discmakers.

Subhollow is also affiliated with the Tephramedia label. We can release and distribute you full-length, EP, or whatever under this imprint especially so if we think that your work and our label is complimentary.
